I enjoy food. I really do. How I am not 450-500 pounds is beyond me. I love everything that goes into food. the prep, the cooking, the finish product, I love it all. It is such an art to be able to cook well. And to be honest it is the only art I am good at. I enjoy food. And it isn't set to one flavor, though BBQ, Mexican and Italian will always been fighting for that top spot. However, overall I think baked goods take the cake. (Not meant to be a pun but take it as you will). Baking is my favorite, though grilling is nipping at its heals. Not very often will you find me saying no to a fresh made cookie or a nice warm sweet roll. And with this love I have set out to find the best made cookies in the Salt Lake area. I hate to talk myself up, but knowing my wife would agree, I have Chocolate Chip Cookies down perfect. I am not gonna find better so this search has led to looking for those truly amazing one of a kind cookies. So sorry Mrs. Fields, you never even had a chance. Salt Lake has made this journey great, with many good little bakeries and cookie shops. However, I believe the search is over, as I came across RubySnap a few weeks ago. As little cookie shop in Salt Lake City, you will find RudySnap nestled up next to an secondhand furniture shop on 300 West and 800 South. The only thing that makes the building jump out is RubySnaps bright logo and the banners touting freshly made cookies inside. However stepping in you will know right away you have entered into something special as that first smell of fresh cookies hits your nose. You will be greeted by some of the friendliest employees you will every find. And thats saying a lot cause when have you ever run into a jerk in a Ma and Pa business. You will then walk up to the display case filled with RubySnap's little bits of heaven. They may just be cookies but RubySnap has given them new life by naming cookies after ol' fashion Pin-Up girls. This is in no way untasteful or sleezy. It just adds that much more to the experiance of getting a cookie at RubySnap. After picking your lady or ladies if your hungry, make sure to enjoy the cookies warm. You will be taken away to a place where childhood memories of homemade cookies fresh from the oven comes to life again. So if you ever find your sweet tooth getting the best of you in Salt Lake City, be sure to stop by RubySnap. and to make sure you enjoy your visit here are my three leading ladies at RubySnap.
