We had dinner with our friends Bryce and Nicole and their family for Easter. I was thrilled to be put in charge of the bread. My grandmother gave me her Bosch just last week and I've been itching to try it out. This gave me the perfect opportunity to do just that! Now I've made bread before, so this wasn't a first time thing for me. I've hand kneaded, and I've used my moms bread mixer my entire life. After all, my mom makes homemade bread all the time. And can I tell you, it's absolutely amazing! I haven't quite mastered her technique yet, though. Mine just doesn't have the same texture and fluffiness that my mom has down to an art. So I decided to try something new and went in search of a good cheesy garlic bread. I went to one of my favorite recipe sites,
Our Best Bites. As I scanned through the archives I came across this recipe,
Cheesy Garlic Bread Swirls. Um, perfect right? Well I did a test run Saturday night and the rolls came out about the size of my face. They were huge, but oh so good! I knew I needed to adjust and make some smaller rolls. After all, there has to be room on the plate for all the other delicious food that was going to be there. (Have I mentioned that Nicole is an amazing cook?) Sunday came and I rolled the dough
hotdog style instead of the hamburger style I'd done before and the rolls were absolutely perfect. I was so excited! They seemed to go over well with everyone at dinner too. I borrowed a picture from the blog so I could show you, since I forgot to take pictures and they all got eaten!

I love this site though! I have loved every single recipe I've tried and they have simple easy to understand instructions that basically anyone can do. Even first timers would be able to understand the way these two ladies write. Check out their site though, it's fantastic!

The rolls were amazing. Remember what my dad said, "these rolls are better than the rolls at olive garden" haha classic. Jen I appreciate the compliment, but I think you and Brian out do our cooking everytime you have us over!
